This is my personal blog. Although the topics I discuss here are related to my professional interests, the opinions I express here are solely my own. You shouldn't assume that my employer or any other organization I'm associated with shares them.
So, you ask, why mention my employer at all?
Good question. There are two reasons.
First, many of the topics I plan to blog about here are so local and so closely related to my professional activities that any attempt to keep my professional affiliations "secret" would be doomed to fail.
Second, acknowledging my professional affiliation will serve to remind me to keep my commentary professional. I don't want to say anything here that I wouldn't say in a newspaper interview or op-ed.
